Would you prefer your financial situation change automatically without you changing your behavior? Or would you prefer to go to sleep at night and wake up the next morning to find yourself in a better financial situation? Maybe you are expecting your financial situation to change through osmosis, the process of unconscious assimilation of ideas or knowledge. In other words, by thinking about changing your financial situation, it will automatically happen because you have some financial knowledge. Any of these would be good if we lived in Wonderland. Because we live in the real world, our financial situation will not change automatically. We cannot continue doing what we have been doing and expect a different result. In order to change our financial situation, you must embrace the saying, “Out with the old and in with the new.” Changing your financial situation must involve changing your relationship with money. Because it is time for a different result, you must try a different approach. It is time for you to consider changing your relationship with money through the Money Coaching process. The Money Coaching process is a unique and powerful way to help identify old patterns and behaviors that are causing you to continue in your current financial situation. Some may experience feelings of fear, shame and/or confusion regarding their financial situation. Through those feelings along with experiences that you observed during childhood that are now hard-wired in your brain, you may have developed an unhealthy relationship with money. The unhealthy relationship causes you to behave negatively or unfavorably when it comes to financial encounters. Sometimes even simple financial decisions can become difficult to make. Most of the time, financial decisions are made based on our emotions and if we are not in tuned with our emotions and know how to control our emotions, we will make unwise financial decisions. On the flip side, some will allow their emotions to paralyze them and no financial decision can be made; hence, the inability to change their financial situation. During the money coaching process, exercises are completed to discover old patterns and behaviors and associate them with specific money types. The money types help to uncover your hard-wired thoughts and experiences that have been suppressed for years and are a part of your subconscious, meaning feelings and emotions that you are not consciously aware of. Because these feelings and emotions (which dictate your patterns and behaviors) are subconscious, they are self-limiting and self-sabotaging. You are not living up to your potential because of the fear or anxiety that is hidden within you. Or, you are blocking your potential because you are repeating past mistakes. By exploring your subconscious feelings and emotions by identifying them with the money types, you can begin to put a name to the old or negative patterns and behaviors. It is believed that once you can put a name to something, you can bring about awareness and change. Through awareness is how we start to remove the old and unhealthy patterns and behaviors and implement the new and healthy patterns and behaviors that will allow you to change your relationship with money, which inevitably will change your financial situation.
